What is Biddio?

Biddio is an Australian-built marketplace focused on simple, fair auctions. Sellers can list in minutes; buyers bid with confidence using clear rules and a lightweight, fast site.

• Auctions: time-boxed sales with proxy/auto-bidding.
• Classifieds: fixed-fee listings for things that aren’t auctions.
• Wallet & verification: a small initial top-up unlocks selling and helps reduce scams.

Why we’re building it

We wanted an auction site that feels fast, transparent, and local. Biddio aims to bring back the thrill of bidding without the clutter—great UI, strong anti-scam stance, and tools that actually help sellers and buyers get deals done.

How Biddio works (quick)

1. Create an account (16+ to use, 18+ to sell).
2. Verify with a small wallet top-up to unlock selling features.
3. List or bid: auctions run to a set end time; the highest valid bid wins (subject to reserve).
4. Set a max: proxy bids auto-increase in increments only when needed. You can raise your max while leading.
5. Complete the sale: payment and pickup/shipping are arranged directly between buyer and seller via Biddio Messages.

Fees in plain English

• Auctions: Biddio charges 5% commission on successful auctions where valid bids were placed and the reserve (if any) was met.
• Classifieds: fixed listing fees shown when you create a classified.
• Wallet credits: pre-paid, non-transferable credits used for fees/features.

Safety & trust

• Verification: initial top-up + basic checks reduce spam/scams.
• Messaging: keep comms in Biddio Messages for a clear record.
• Policies: Prohibited items and clear Terms/Privacy to protect the community.
