Getting started

Who can use Biddio?

Users must be 16+. To sell/list, you must be 18+.

Do I need an account to use Biddio?

You can browse some public pages as a guest, but you must be logged in to use key marketplace features.

What can I do if I’m not logged in?

Guests can browse public pages and listings, but you cannot:

  • place bids on auctions
  • use Buy Now (where available)
  • message other users or contact sellers through the platform
  • view full seller contact details or other restricted listing details
  • watch/save listings or use other account features

If you are logged in but not verified, additional limits may apply (for example, restrictions on viewing contact details, messaging, bidding, buying, or creating listings).

Do I need to verify my account?

Yes—most selling/listing features unlock after a small wallet top-up (e.g., $10). It helps reduce scams and funds your first usage.

Where does Biddio operate?

We’re Australia-focused. Anyone can browse and bid (once logged in), but listing is primarily for Australian sellers.

Listings & categories

What can I list?

Most legal goods. Prohibited: illegal/dangerous items, counterfeit goods, stolen property, and other restricted items. We may remove non-compliant listings.

How long do auctions run?

Standard auctions run for a set duration displayed on the listing. Sellers may choose options where available.

Bidding & winning

How do auto-bids (proxy bids) work?

Set your maximum; we automatically bid in increments only as needed to keep you in front.

Can I raise my max bid while leading?

Yes. Enter a higher amount and click Bid—your max increases without changing the current price (until someone else bids).

What is a reserve?

A minimum price the seller will accept. If the reserve isn’t met, the seller doesn’t have to sell.

Do auctions extend if there’s last-second bidding (sniping)?

Some listings may apply anti-snipe or extension rules. The listing page will show what applies.

How do I know I’ve won?

You’ll see a winner banner, get a Biddio Message, and an email (where available) with the seller’s contact details.

Fees & wallet credits

What are the fees for auctions?

Biddio charges 5% commission on successful auctions where valid bids were placed and the reserve (if any) was met.

What about classifieds?

Classifieds have fixed listing fees. The amount is shown clearly when you create the classified.

What are wallet credits?

Pre-paid credits used for verification and platform fees/features. Credits are non-transferable.

Are wallet credits refundable?

Credits that have been spent are not refundable.
Top-ups and unused credits are generally not refundable except as required by law (including Australian Consumer Law) or where we choose to refund (e.g., duplicate payment or proven platform error).

Payments, shipping & pickup

How do I pay for an auction I won?

Payment and fulfilment are strictly between the buyer and seller. Use Biddio Messages (and the winner email) to exchange details and agree on payment method, pickup/shipping, timing and costs. Keep clear records/screenshots of agreements and receipts.

Who arranges shipping or pickup?

Buyer and seller arrange this directly. Sellers should state options in the listing; buyers should confirm before bidding.

Safety & support

How do I contact the seller/buyer?

Use Biddio Messages on the listing or via My Account → Messages. After an auction ends, the winner message shares contact details.

How do I report a problem or suspicious activity?

Email support@biddio.com.au with as much detail as possible (links, screenshots, order/listing IDs).

What if something goes wrong with a sale?

Contact the other party first to resolve. If you can’t resolve it, email support@biddio.com.au and we’ll assist where we can. Chargebacks or unpaid fees may affect your account.

Accounts & privacy

Can I manage email notifications?

We currently send essential service emails only (e.g., password reset, winner notices). Marketing emails are minimal and include an unsubscribe link. If you need help with preferences, email support@biddio.com.au.

Can I delete my account or request my data?

Yes—email support@biddio.com.au. We’ll keep any data we must retain by law (e.g., tax records).

Is my data safe?

We follow Australian Privacy Principles and use reasonable security measures. See our Privacy Policy for details.
